This Single Vineyard wine is made from selected grapes from a small vineyard plot of just 6 hectares, planted at an altitude of 300-600m. The soil is calcareous, of loose texture and with good drainage. Low yields of 5 t/ha enhances the concentration and optimum ageing potential of the grapes. The creation of this magnificent wine is a rigorous process with strict quality control. The care and attention to detail is permanent in every phase. No secrets, but with great wisdom.

Tasting Notes : Intense cherry-red. Fruity nose with notes of red and black berries, such as strawberries and blackberries. Oaky, caramel and mocha hints from barrel ageing also present. Powerful in the mouth with firm yet smooth tannins, with an intense and lingering finish.

Tasting Notes by Nelson Chow* : Dark ruby red colour, nose of preserved prunes, smoky and bit of oxidized scents; following by chocolate and roast nosing. With great balance between fruit and acid, yet strong ripe tannin support and round in mouth. Final firm and young, long and complex. It will develop in the bottle for the next three years and you can enjoy its strength now.

Food/Jamon Pairing : Ideal with all types of meat. A good match to pasta dishes, tapas and cheese. Like all young wine, it should ideally be consumed within a year. Perfect match with “Capa Negra Iberico Bellota Jamon”
